Perhaps one of the most underrated midrange lineups, Prodiscus Discs has some of the best feeling and flying midrange discs available.
Starting with the Stari, which is their understable midrange option, it's also their lowest profile mid. The flight numbers for the Stari are 4 . 4 . -2 . 0 and we agree with those numbers for the most part, although the turn could even be a -3. This disc will flip easily but won't fight out of it, and is one of the best mids to learn controlled hyzer flips. Our favorite shot for this disc is to hit it hard and high and watch it turn over and drift it's entire flight. It's also a great tool for patent pending shots, where it may be difficult to release the disc on flat or anhyzer angle. Try this disc out if you're looking for hyzer flip fun!
Next up is a disc that surprised us and became one of our favorite midranges of all time. The Midari is a dead straight to stable midrange that has a ton of glide. The surprising part of this disc initially was that it felt noticeably deeper in hand than other midranges we preferred at first, but when thrown flat, it flew so straight for so far and had a finish that was more akin to a putter than the midranges we were used to. It seemed to fade and land very gently at the end of it's flight rather than dumping hard or finding an edge. After we got used to the deeper feel in hand, the trust to be had with this disc is something special. Another review once said that the Midari has the flight that the Buzzz wish it had, and we'd have to agree. It'll hold whichever angle you throw it on for it's entire flight which makes it an incredibly versatile midrange as well. Also, if you prefer the more rounded bottom of a beaded mid, the MidariX has that more rounded/beaded bottom but nearly the exact same flight as the Midari which again, in our opinion, is one of the best flying midranges on the market.
Their most overstable disc is the Prodiscus Troiija. If you've been looking for an overstable utility disc and haven't found one stable enough, than look no further. The Troija has a +1 turn and a 4 fade and we'd be okay if it had 5 fade printed on it. This disc is by far the most overstable mid that we've ever thrown. If thrown hard and flat, it won't even think about turning and will fade the entire flight till it lands. It's super useful for spike hyzer or grenade throws where you don't want much lateral movement. You can also throw it on severe anhyzer angle and have it fight all the way out to hyzer giving you a full S shaped flight in a very short distance. While this is definitely not a disc you'll use every hole or even every round for that matter. It's most certainly a fun utility disc that will put a smile on your face every time you use it. It's like a midrange Tilt, but more usable.
And lastly is a disc that has just been PDGA approved and is called the Amulet. It's flight seems like it will sit between the Midari and the Troija to offer a solid overstable flight, with much more glide and usability than the Troija. Once we try the Amulet, we'll report back and update this list to include it's feel and flight.
