An approach disc that is gaining incredible traction, in no small part likely helped by James Conrad's ace at the World Championship that he won. But for the most part it's growing success is down to how this disc feels and flies. It's a very overstable, very flat approach disc that has a very similar profile to the Discraft Zone albeit slight deeper in hand, though not quite as deep as a Harp or Pig. It's made in a variety of plastics ranging from baseline to premium. Our favorite in this mold is the Cosmic neutron, it's nice and stiff so it comes out of the hand very cleanly for forehand and if you're already set on Neutron plastic, why would you not go with cosmic? When I called this disc 'very overstable' earlier, I really did mean it. This disc does not want to fly far. In no scenario was I able to push this disc as far as any of my zones or especially A2s, but that's not a bad thing. I found that this disc was extremely reliable from 250 feet and closer, as it never flipped up or deviated regardless of wind.
Obviously if you get this disc in the more baseline Electron plastics it will beat in and start to become less stable much faster, which may be a great compliment to also having one in a premium neutron or plasma plastic. This disc is in my bag that I'm throwing alongside a Jawbreaker zone. I feel that covers the flights I'm looking for out of approach discs.
One thing I'll note is that when we first got these discs, the Plasma and Electron plastics were all board flat. The Neutron plastics had an ever so slight dome and the Cosmic Neutron plastic had a more pronounced dome. HOWEVER, after having had them custom dyed they all came out absolutely flat. Not sure if it's all down to how it cools in the factory that affects the dome of the discs, but being cooled after a hot dip dye seems to remedy this.
Definitely keep this disc in mind for your short range approach slot, it's a good one, a really good one.
